What is offered?

You will be put in touch by telephone with a fully trained and qualified French lawyer, who speaks English.

You will be able to discuss a particular question, a problem area which concerns you as an employer, (or indeed which concerns you as an employee) on virtually any subject which comes within the scope of French Employment Law.

The telephone conversation will always be limited to either 15 minutes or alternatively 30 minutes and you alone choose the time to be spent.

Am I committed to using the lawyer I speak to for any future follow-up?

Not at all - you are not bound in any way whatsoever - at the end of the conversation you need never contact the Lawyer again and you will never be contacted again by him or her

That said, you may, of course, instruct the lawyer in question in the future if that were your wish.

Is my discussion confidential?

Yes - any question discussed is covered by the lawyer/client privilege under French Law and may not be divulged to any third party either now or in the future.

When can I speak over the telephone with this French lawyer?

You can usually arrange a call at a time to suit you - generally from 6 am CET (i.e. Paris time) to 8 pm CET but we can also offer (by special arrangement) other times, for example to fit in with PST in, say, California.

How much does it cost?

• a 15 minute consultation costs 80 Euros
• a 30 minute consultation costs 160 Euros

Payment is made by VISA or MasterCard using our secure web page immediately prior to the telephone consultation and after having agreed on a time for the call.

There is no further financial commitment or payment whatsoever.

Is that it?

Yes - you will though doubtless understand that, in the context of such a short telephone conversation, the advice given will evidently often tend to be of a relatively general nature and will only be given orally.

However we often find that an initial discussion of this sort will enable you to have a much clearer picture of your situation and for you to grasp at least some possible steps which might need to be taken in France.

Should you wish to obtain a written consultation or a written confirmation of the points discussed, then this would of course be possible. We would then give you an indication of the likely costs for providing such a consultation and obtain your agreement thereon before undertaking any substantive work.
